Although Alexey Lukyanuk has been in rally for eight years already, he acquired recognition — at least in the Baltic rally circles — comparatively recently. Initially Alexey participated in the Russian Championship with Lada 2105 and with this car drove also his first rallies in Estonia, where his speed surprised both many competitors and spectators. In 2011 the Russian crew changed their car to a more competitive equipment — Mitsubishi Lancer Evo — and immediately became sensational taking the 5^th place in the Saaremaa Ralli 2011. In 2012 the achievements were even greater — victory in the Tallinn Rally and at the end of the season also in the Saaremaa Ralli, but in the auto24 Rally Estonia 2012 Lukyanuk took the 7^th place behind such WRC start as MadsÖstberg, Thierry Neville and Martin Prokop.
